This town’s completely shut down
Nothing in the streets, on the pavements
And the heat’s like a weight on - the ground

City in the summer
It’s over 40 degrees
People leaning out of their windows, wearing no clothes
Hoping for - a little breeze

City in the summer
And now the oxygen’s low
People stuck inside during lockdown, they’re too hot now
Like this town’s - about to blow

All of my limbs are heavy so is my head
Can’t really move a muscle stay on the bed
Summer is stationary air is like mud
Feels like the circulation’s slowing - the blood
